Meet at the northern most parking area. Directions:  Messenger Woods is located on Bruce Rd., north of Route 6 (Southwest Highway) and east of Cedar Rd., in rural Lockport.  We'll plan to hike both the North and South Loop Trails to observe woodland wildflowers and warblers.

Spring Migrant Bird Walk Series                                                   Lake Arlington, Arlington Heights, IL

Members of Prairie Woods Audubon will lead bird walks at Lake Arlington, where the current record for number of species sited is 186.
Lake Arlington can be very windy at times, so dress appropriately. Lake Arlington is located at 2201 N. Windsor Drive in Arlington Heights (east of the Palatine/Rand Rd intersection, and north of Palatine Rd).

Meet the leaders at the boathouse, located at the east end of the parking lot off Windsor Drive.   Roughly a 2 hour walk.
